Chuck Malagodi

On what would have been Chuck Malagodi’s 65th birthday, the facility he worked so hard to make happen was renamed in his honor. The City of Albuquerque Esperanza Bicycle workshop was renamed to honor Chuck’s commitment to promoting cycling here in the Duke City.

The whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver remain unknown. If you have any information, please pass it on.

In February, Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers released a flyer, naming the suspect as Jose Rios Sanchez and the suspect vehicle as a white Dodge Ram. They are still looking for him.

If you know where Sanchez may be, call 505-242-2677.

Tuesday January 28th join family and friends when we place the ghost bike for Chuck Malagodi. 12:30pm

Chuck was hit on Kathryn Ave SE, approaching Carlisle Blvd. SE. He was riding eastbound on Kathryn.

The ghost bike will be placed on the NW corner of Kathryn and Carlisle SE.

Plenty of room for bicycles in Burton Park if you ride; best parking for vehicles will be on Kathryn Ave.

Hope to see you there.
